Tell us all what your fave film is, and perhaps what makes it so special to you. If it's a more obscure, lesser-known movie, perhaps include a brief summarry. PLEASE DON'T GIVE AWAY ANY MAJOR SPOILERS!!!
Mine is North By North West, the 1959 Alfred Hitchthingy (the obscenity filter is far too strict here methinks) film starring Cary Grant. A classic tale of mistaken identity and intrigue, a great movie full of excitement, twists and turns with a typical leading man performance from Grant and the gorgeous Eva Marie Saint. Add to this lot a great Bernard Herrmann score and you've got one of the best movies of all time, and my personal favourite!
What's yours?

All films by Stanley Kubrick, specially 2001 and Full Metal Jacket
And the films by Martin Scorsese, specially Raging Bull. One of the best films of the 20th century.

I got my mum Pan's Labyrinth for her birthday. She made me take it back and get a refund when she discovered it was in Spanish and she'd have the arduous task of reading subtitles As for my favourite film, I don't have one, I hate films and always get bored and can't wait for them to finish. I only ever watch films that I have a vested interest in, either because I'm a fan of the book or what not (like LotR and The Golden Compass). Plus after watching some of the crap they force upon me in college, I've been put off films for life.

I'm not a fan of 300. That idiot who gets his head chopped off stood still and stared at the incoming blade for like 3 seconds before he got the chop.
My fave movies would probably be The Incredibles and The Matrix: Reloaded, based on the fact that I can watch either a million times over and over and still enjoy them.

everyone tends to go for the same movies all the time. mine would be out of Babel, garden state, 21 grams which are pretty serious films, to comedys like the oceans trillogy, wedding crashers, the new starsky and hutch and the old pink panther films.
