For a team that likes to play with two wide players, we only have three really. If Ronaldo got injured we'd be a very one dimensional team. And with Giggsy and Scholesy nearing the end of their careers, an opportunity to snap up a seasoned professional with great amount of experience and at a great age should be taken IMO.

He can play on either flanks or through the middle. He doesnt have the pace to take players on regularly but he has a very good passing range and he's a tough player which is very suited to United.

He would cost a lot, unlike Podolski he is doing ok at bayern, and with the Germano-pole leaving I don't see Bayern letting him go.

He would cost alot in terms of wages ? Cause his contract runs out in the summer, we'd be able to approach him as early as the turn of the year.
